You’ll oversee three mental health services in East Sussex (with Eastbourne as your main base, all services within 20 minutes of each other), supporting 16 clients and leading a team—including two Deputies—to deliver exceptional, person-centered care.

  • Take charge of three supported accommodation services, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of care.
  • Lead with confidence, promoting independence and empowering clients to thrive within their communities.
  • Oversee budgets and ensure financial performance aligns with company goals.
  • Drive quality and compliance through a robust Quality Assurance Framework.
  • Build strong client relationships, improving satisfaction and engagement across services.
  • Play a key role in shaping the strategic vision and identifying local needs.

This company is at the forefront of the decarbonisation of heat, leveraging cutting-edge technology encompassing AR and VR to redefine domestic heating solutions.

Started three years ago, they are fully funded and are now have a major organisation as their majority shareholder.

They have developed a Software as a Service (SaaS) platform that is currently at the MVP stage and is now starting to operationalise and commercialise having gained enterprise “proof of concept” contracts with two of the largest energy companies.

With this significant growth potential, they are looking for a talented Platform Engineer to help drive their SaaS platform from MVP to market leader.

This hands-on role requires familiarity with .NET environments, Cloud Computing at scale (AWS, GCP), CI/CD pipelines, Service Design and Security.

You will sit across several cross-cutting technical pods.

What we are looking for:

Proven experience as a senior AWS Platform Engineer in a tech start-up or fast paced environment.

  • Commutable to central Leeds
  • Strong background in agile development methodologies.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipeline implementation.
  • Knowledge of API (RESTful/Socket/GraphQL), microservice architecture flows and practices
  • Experience with cloud-native platform patterns
  • Experience working on mission-critical or SaaS services
  • Experience working in – or towards ISO 27001

Technical Skills:

  • Thorough understanding of key AWS products like EC2, VPCs, Lambda,
  • CloudFront, RDS, DLM, and Backup Manager
  • Some Proficiency in .NET and JavaScript
  • Experience with SQL, including schema design and optimisation
  • Experience with testing frameworks and tools
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools
  • Familiarity with security tools and practices
  • Experience with operating RESTful APIs and microservices.
  • MVP is currently built using the following technologies and development languages, PREACT, MYSQL, Docker, .Net6, C#, C++ and Python.

The Role
As a Cloud Engineer you would assist and sometimes lead the architecture, solution design, implementation, and/or support of cloud products and offerings, at times serve as a consultant and trusted advisor to Senior Management.

- Well versed in Windows-based application environments
- Experience working with relational databases, preferably SQL Server
- Understanding of processes and business functions common in client-server application environments
- Previous use or experience in practice management systems is a plus
- Familiarity with Windows Server administration (including IIS, PowerShell, and Active Directory)
