General Operative

We're looking for General Operatives for our client at their Launceston food production facility in Cornwall. You’d be joining an award winning and market-leading meat processor with 13 sites across the UK and Northern Ireland in a role with great opportunities for training and progression.

This is a permanent full-time role from Monday to Friday starting at 7am with pay starting at £11.44 per hour, overtime hours always available. The Role
As a hardworking and committed Operative you would play a key role as part of a busy lamb abattoir, working to further enhance the company’s position as Britain’s leading lamb and beef processor. Responsibilities will include…
- Production line performance, help cleaning up and packaging
- Ensuring consistent production line standards in Quality, Safety and Process
- Working in the skins team, treating the skins
- Loading bay, loading carcasses from the factory to lorries

The Candidate
- Experience in a manufacturing / production environment preferred however not essential, full training provided
- Comfortable with handling and preparing food, physically fit with long periods of standing, lifting and carrying
- Able to demonstrate a positive and proactive attitude toward work and colleagues at all times
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written in English is essential
- Reliable and hardworking, flexible with hours
